Dr. Gifford and the staff were very friendly and efficient. They make a great effort to minimize stress on the patient. Rose (our dog) didn’t even seem to notice the 3 vaccinations. I would definitely recommend Abbott Valley Vet Center.

I was impressed from my very first visit with Dr Fielding. She examined my dog and she also did a very comprehensive health history. She had a very relaxed manner, and my dog was comfortable with her. She also listened very attentively and asked many relevant questions. I was impressed by her attention to details, such as exactly where my dog’s microchip is located. (answer: I had no idea where it was!) For the first time ever, I got to see the instrument that is used to find it on the dog’s body. On our second visit, we had a short wait in the waiting area, but everyone was friendly, so I chatted with both the staff and the dog owners. I had never seen the bordetella vaccine administered in a dog’s nose. The tech was obviously very experienced. There was no need to hold on tightly to my dog or to worry about her reaction. It was over and done before my dog even knew what had happened. We were both happy to be done so quickly!

Abbott Valley Veterinary Center goes above and beyond in so many ways to care your family pet like one of their own! Their staff is so warm, welcoming and gentle, as well as being so knowledgeable and helpful. From the assistants at the front desk, to Gabbie and the in-room assistants, all the way thru to the veterinarian - they make your pet and feel like extended family. We recently lost one of our dogs to CHF and they had diagnosed her 3.5 years ago with a life expectancy of about 6 months. With their knowledge and watchful eyes and our consistent care, our girl made it 3.5 years. We couldn’t have done it without AVVC and we will continue to bring our other dog for their specialized care from their dedicated staff!

I called this place on 4/16 in tears as I had discovered my dog passed away. I'm sure I sounded horrible and probably not at all easy to understand. The call started regular, standard, cheerful greeting, until I asked about pet cremation. The woman on the other end of the call immediately softened her tone spoke slowly and clearly, answering any questions I had. I had to call back because, I'm on a limited income as a single parent, to ask what the cost would be and when I'd have to pay. Same thing, started with a standard, cheerful greeting but immediately changing to a calm, soft tone when they realized what I was calling about. I arrived less than 30 minutes later, carrying my Gunny wrapped in a blanket. The women I spoke with were amazing. Soft spoken but direct, making sure I was ok and asking the necessary questions. I was allowed time with my dog before I was explained how everything would work, and they would call me when his ashes were ready. Today, one week later, I received that call. When I arrived and said I was there for my boy's ashes, the wonderful women knew immediately who I was there for. Explained the price again, and told me my boy's paw prints were with him in a card. I received a beautiful sympathy card with Gunny's ashes, paw prints, and Rainbow Bridge chip. I cannot thank they wonderful women I encountered, enough. I'm sure there were more behind the scenes and I have so much appreciation for them, as well. This place is amazing and kind and I'm so thankful for them and the care they showed my boy, Gunny.

We love Dr Fielding. She is amazing and has a wonderful approach with our two dogs. She listens and doesn’t dictate and is always willing to assist us with the care of our dogs in a way that fits into our comfort zone. I love when she goes down onto the floor getting to the same level of our two fur girls. This is so helpful making them feel less threatened. She is definitely a wonderful Vet and we highly recommend her!

Absolutely love this hospital, the staff are great and very caring. The veterinarians are all very knowledgeable and compassionate with my fur baby. My dog actually gets excited to go to her vetrinary appointments. Thank you ABBOTT VALLY, you're the best in Rhode Island hands down.

My dog Griffon has been a patient at Abbott Valley Vet since he was about 3 months old. I couldn’t be happier with the care he has received. The staff are kind, knowledgeable and take the time to explain complex medical issues. I love this medical team and would recommend them to anyone looking for a top notch vet team!!!

The staff is amazing! They are patient and listen to really understand your concerns or needs. They don’t rush you in and out and they always follow up with you. The care my pet has received has been wonderful and more thorough than our previous vet location. Definitely recommend Abbott Valley Veterinary center!

I can not recommend Abbott enough. Every person here makes you feel prioritized from the moment you walk in to the follow up calls. My needs and concerns are always addressed with grace and questions throughly answered. Better yet, I know my dogs are always a priority and are given all the time/considerations they need to have a great vet experience. When my dogs come to Abbott they are excited not nervous and that’s the real gift here. Thank you!

I have an almost EIGHTEEN year old cat! He has been a patient for about 6 years and everyone there is great! It feels like everyone there sincerely cares about each and every animal they see and I have never felt like they are just trying to squeeze money out of me! We have seen just about every doctor there throughout the years and we love them all! Each one of them is incredibly responsive if you have a quick question and call and leave a message! Reception is also great 😌
